Part-time Clinical Counselor for Assessments and Child/Adolescent Services: Clinical Counselor needed to work in the Child and Adolescent Services Department, to provide clinical services to children and adolescent populations in the school setting as well as in the office; and to provide biopsychosocial assessments to varied populations in the office. The hourly rate will be determined by qualifications and experience. This position requires a master's degree in counseling or related area and experience in the substance use field; Certification and S.C. State licensure to provide counseling services preferred; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. If not already certified, applicants must be eligible to be certified as an Addictions Counselor in South Carolina. BHSPC provides assistance in obtaining certification as well as on-site licensure supervision for LPC and Social Workers. BHSPC is an approved site for NHSC for student loan forgiveness.

In this role, you’ll build strong community partnerships, lead engagement efforts, and help improve access to behavioral health and social services across Pickens County.

- Excels at partnership-building and community engagement
- Has experience in public health, social services, or behavioral health
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree (MSW, MPH, or related field) and relevant experience preferred.

Now Hiring: Community Engagement Specialist
Pickens County, SC | Community Health & Navigation Focus
Ready to make a meaningful difference at the community level? We’re seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to support the BRIDGE Pickens Collaborative by helping individuals navigate behavioral health, medical, and social service systems.
In this role, you’ll provide outreach, follow-up, and navigation support to help community members connect to services and reduce barriers to care across Pickens County.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about helping people access care and community resources
- Enjoys working directly with individuals and supporting follow-up and engagement
- Has experience in community outreach, patient navigation, or community health
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a human services–related field preferred. Experience as a Community Health Worker, patient navigator, or in a similar community-facing role is a plus.

Full-time, grant-funded, position responsible for coordinating programs and activities designed to increase public awareness and understanding of the problems, issues and services available related to substance use, particularly opioid related activities, as well as other behavioral health issues. This Prevention Specialist will be responsible for coordinating projects for the ECHO (Empowering Communities for Healthy Outcomes) Grant, which may include planning and executing alternative events, assisting with the Youth Board of Pickens County’s “But They Don’t” podcast, teaching Prevention Educational Classes as well as working with the Alcohol Enforcement Teams, planning, executing and providing prevention educational and other community presentations/events.
This position will require a bachelor’s degree in social or health sciences strongly preferred; a general liberal arts background may also be considered and one (1) year experience in prevention services is desired, preferably in the field of substance use or other behavioral health area. Master’s degree in related field; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must be eligible to be certified as a Prevention Specialist in South Carolina. The salary will be determined by credentials and experience and will range from $38K to $40K/year.

Full-time, grant-funded position performing a variety of case management activities, including correctional casework in an institutional setting (local detention center); developing, evaluating, and analyzing program needs and other data about inmates, as well as coordinating and managing services for clients, in and out of correctional facility, such as health or social services, to ensure their needs are met. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in human services, with at least 1-year experience, preferably in A&D working with incarcerated individuals.
