Clinical Counselor

Behavioral Health Services of Pickens County (BHSPC) is looking for two full-time, Clinical Counselors to work in the Outpatient Services Department, with primarily children and adolescent populations in the school setting as well as in the office.  The salary will be based on qualifications and experience.  This position will require a master's degree in counseling or related area and experience in the substance use field; S.C. State licensure to provide counseling services preferred; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Applicants must be eligible to be certified as an Addictions Counselor in South Carolina.      ​

Director of Intensive Outpatient Services

Director of Intensive Outpatient Services (full-time) to supervise the Intensive Outpatient Services Department and provide substance abuse counseling services, including assessments, treatment planning, group and individual therapy services.  Must be able to work evening hours, at least two evenings per week.  This position will require a master’s degree with extensive relative experience, including supervision and/or program administration; S.C. State licensure to provide counseling services preferred; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Must be eligible to be certified as an Addictions Counselor in South Carolina.  The salary will be based on qualifications and experience.

Full-Time Prevention Specialist

Prevention Specialists (full-time or part-time) to work in the Prevention Department in grant-funded positions.  These positions will require a bachelor’s degree in social or health sciences strongly preferred; or a general liberal arts background may also be considered and one (1) year experience in prevention services is desired, preferably in the field of substance use or other behavioral health area; Master’s degree in related field; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Full-time Prevention Specialists must be eligible to be certified as a Prevention Specialist in South Carolina.  The salary (or hourly rate) will be based on qualification and experience.

Part-Time Prevention Specialist
